Commentator without portfolio
Bob Ballard tweeted this on Sunday night, unfortunately not specifying where it's from (and presumably it's not his own), and we reckon it needs a specialist wider audience. No idea precisely when, or indeed why, this ITV football group photo was taken - at earliest 1974 - but we (and a couple of others on Twitter) can spot Moore, Wolstenholme, Tyler, Johns, Sinstadt, Newbon, Dickie Davies, John Bromley and ATV's Billy Wright. Any other suggestions gratefully welcome - certainly Gerry Harrison and Keith Macklin should be there if you know what they look like. And no, we don't think that's Peter Bowles front right.
UPDATE: Mike Whalley points out Harrison (three to the right of Wolstenholme in the back row) and Granada reporter turned sports editor Paul Doherty (next to Sinstadt) He also reckons it must date from after 1976 as Sinstadt started growing his tache that summer.
